Burwell Bus
The old Burwell Bus will soon need an MOT test to remain usable on public roads This is very expensive for this type of vehicle. The bus has already been put in "retirement" and is very rarely run on public roads.
We have agreed with Jim Neale, who looks after the bus, to bring the bus on to the museum site before the Bus Display Building is constructed instead of waiting until the building is ready.
The bus will come to the museum within the next few weeks.

The estimated cost of the Bus Display Building has now risen to over £80,000. The current total of the Bus Display Building Fund is less than 1/4 of that. We may have to make some adjustments to the plans for the building and submit a new planning application.
Whatever we decide to do, we still (eventually) need to have a building to display the bus properly and we are still taking donations for the building fund.
If you would like to make a donation (no matter how small) we would be most grateful (please put a note in with your donation to tell us that it is for the Bus Display Building) - see Donations page. Also, if you are a UK taxpayer please use the Gift-Aid form which can be downloaded from the page. This form can also be downloaded from the Home page. We can claim an extra 28% on your donation at no extra cost to you. This form only needs to be filled in once then any future donations you make to the museum can be treated as Gift-Aid.
Cheques payable to Burwell Museum
